Soyinka backs Buhari on Anti-corruption*Calls for emergency economic conference - Noble Laureate, Prof. Wole Soyinka has thrown his weight behind the fight against those who 'rob in your face' as embarked upon by the present administration under President Muhammadu Buhari.The foremost cultural icon made his views known today while addressing the press after he met with the Minister of Information and Culture in his office.Soyinka said he belongs in a society where the people are very impatient. The government is getting money back and punishing those that rob in your face. Governance is complicated to me and lots of debris to remove.He advised the president to call an emergency economic conference that will bring together many heads.The current state of the economy according to him, 'the economy of a people does not deteriorate over a night: the consequence of past misgovernance is what we are seeing. The bonanza of a government can not come in the shortest time.
