INTRODUCTION/DECLARATION OF THE
INTENTION OF PETER AJAYI TO CONTEST FOR
THE OFFICE OF CHAIRMAN OF EJIGBO LOCAL
COUNCIL DEVELOPMENT AREA (LCDA) IN
LAGOS STATE
BACKGROUND
In the next few months, the Lagos State
Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC) will
conduct the long awaited local government
election ushering in new local government
administration in the 20 Local Government and
37 Local Council Development Areas (LG/LCDAs)
of Lagos State.
INTRODUCTION:
Peter Ajayi is a young, vibrant, articulate
Nigerian, who has been living in Ejigbo LCDA all
through his productive adult live. He has a
uniquely enthusiastic passion for our great party,
the All Progressives Congress, APC. He has
volunteered and worked on a number of
campaigns helping other APC members get
elected into various offices from local to federal
levels.
Peter Ajayi is a strong advocate for the rebirth of
Ejigbo LCDA by aiming to tirelessly build upon
the great work of his previous experiences
geared towards taking Ejigbo LCDA to the next
enviable level.
Peter is an administrator and a professional
journalist. He has Diploma in Desktop Publishing,
Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) in French/
Yoruba, Bachelor of Science (B.sc) in journalism
and Master of Science (M.sc) in journalism.
DECLARATION OF INTENT:
From the above premise, My Ajayi is seeking to
run for the office of Chairman of Ejigbo Local
Council Development Area (LCDA) in the 2017
Local Government and Council Development
Areas election.
In all his political and business undertakings, he
has demonstrated, in several ways, not just his
desires, but also the ability and leadership skills
of reliability and responsiveness required to lead
Ejigbo LCDA at very crucial, historic and
challenging times.
Mr Ajayi is poised to execute a visionary
leadership governed by accountability and
transparency, which would create unbreakable
partnerships with other progressives in Ejigbo
community.
PAST APPOINTMENTS/ACHIEVEMENTS:
Let alone his work experiences outside of
politics at media houses and non-governmental
organizations, at different times of his
membership of our great party, the APC, Mr Ajayi
has been serving in different capacities/offices in
Ejigbo LCDA. He was once the Supervisor,
Market and Revenue Generation. Thereafter, he
served as Consultant on Revenue Generation
before becoming a two-term Chairman of
Committee on Revenue. An opportunity which
afforded him to phenomenally increase the
revenue generation of the LCDA while his
services lasted.
Serving in those capacities has been interesting
and politically enriching for Mr Ajayi. They have
provided the much needed experiences, which
have further exposed him to become familiar
with all the nooks and crannies of the
geographical entity called Ejigbo LCDA, thereby
making him one of the few residents with the
practical knowledge of the needs of Ejigbo Local
Council Development Area.
In addition to the above profile of Peter Ajayi
being a hard working member of the APC, he is
currently the Publisher of The View Magazine - a
monthly news magazine and Executive Director
of Salvage for Development Initiatives (SDI) as
well as the Administrator of many social network
media projecting the core values of our great
Party, the APC.
VISION AND MISSION:
Peter Ajayi's desire to become the next
Chairman of the local council is to further
consolidate the vision of change of our great
political party, All Progressives Congress (APC),
a party which represents change that has
brought remarkable changes to Ejigbo LCDA and
thereby making it an enabling and business
friendly environment for corporates and small
businesses to triumph.
As a former chairmanship aspirant who has
diligently served in other capacities and showed
commitment and loyalty to the party, with his
educational background, experiences, knowledge
and understanding of council politics, We strongly
believe that he possesses all it takes to be the
next Chairman of Ejigbo LCDA. We have no iota
of doubt in us that as a progressive, pragmatic,
focused, diligent, honest, people driven, and
result oriented professional, Peter Ajayi is the
most qualified candidate, in all human
ramifications, for the Chairmanship seat of Ejigbo
LCDA in the upcoming dispensation.
